Cllr Claudine Russell and the Maidstone Conservative councillors proposed a motion at full council calling for additional resources, work, and focus to tackle the growing problem of litter and fly-tipping in the borough’s rural communities.
Although the existing officer team works hard, the councillors noted that the issue appears worse than ever in their wards. The motion passed with cross-party support and will now be taken forward by the Cabinet member for Environment.
