As part of Kent County Council's "Plan Tree", Cllr Tom Cannon secured more trees for Maidstone. He personally helped plant some trees at Bower Grove School. The trees were all native varieties and ranged from hazelnut to birch.
On top of the huge environmental benefits of tree planting these trees will also help the school with the provision of forest school.
Tom said "Forest schools help play, exploration and supported risk-taking. They develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on experiences in a natural setting. I am a big supporter of this form of learning."
