Cllr Russell initiated a round table discussion about farming rural crime with our MPs Helen Grant MP and Helen Whately MP , Matthew Scott, PCC for Kent , the police rural task force, reps from the NFU , local borough councillors, our county councillor and most importantly local farmers.

She said "Having heard about lots of issues within the farming community I was so keen to get this round table organised."

"It was something that I’m so pleased that I managed to get everyone to give up their time to attend. Lots of issues were aired and action points were created. Thank you to everyone that attended and I hope that at our further meeting in June we will be able to learn more about the forthcoming changes to the police and how they are further supporting farmers with rural crime issues."

The story has been further covered by the KM Online and the full article can be read by following this link;
